Set Options for Voicemail Forwarding
Overview
Manual process to set your voicemail to pick up when you are either away from your desk phone or on another call.
Clear previous forwarding of the line:
1. Lift handset, listen for dial tone and enter #24 then hang up.
2. Lift handset, listen for dial tone and enter #26 then hang up.
Set forwarding:
On your telephone, forward to the UNIVERGE voice mail system: BOTH OPTIONS A AND B CAN BE SET TOGETHER
1. If you want your caller to leave a voice mail message when you do not answer after 4-6 rings:
Lift the handset, listen for dial tone and then enter *26. Listen for the special tone. Enter 34270. Wait until you hear a steady tone that indicates that the line was forwarded correctly before hanging up.
2. If you want your caller to leave a voice mail message when your line is in use (busy):
Lift the handset, listen for dial tone and then enter *24. Listen for the special tone. Enter 34270. Wait until you hear a steady tone that indicates that the line was forwarded before hanging up.
