Allow Pop-Ups on Web Browser | Network and Internet Issues
Overview
Pop-ups are small windows or tabs that automatically open on top of a website you're visiting. By default, most browsers (like Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.) block pop-ups because they are often misused for ads, spam or malicious content. Allowing pop-ups means you're giving certain websites permission to open these windows.
If you're using Edge:
-
Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner and choose Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Cookies and site permissions.
- Scroll down and click Pop-ups and redirects.
- Toggle the switch to Allow (or add specific sites under “Allow” by clicking Add and entering the site URL).
If you're using Chrome:
-
Open Chrome.
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Go to Settings.
- On the left menu, click Privacy and security.
- Click Site settings.
- Scroll down and click Pop-ups and redirects.
- Under Default behavior, select Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects.
- ✅ You can also add specific sites to the "Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects" list if you only want to allow pop-ups from certain websites.
