How to Clear Cache | Web browser
Overview
Follow these steps to clear cache in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers.
Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Press the Ctrl + Shift + Del keys on your keyboard to bring up the “Clear browsing data” screen.
- In the “Time Range” field, click on the drop-down arrow and select “All time”.
- Place a check mark in all boxes by clicking the box (if the box does not already have a check mark in it).
- Select “Clear now”.
- Once the process has finished, close and reopen Microsoft Edge.
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome.
- Press the Ctrl + Shift + Del keys on your keyboard to bring up the “Clear browsing data” screen.
- Click the “Advanced” heading. In the “Time Range” field, click on the drop-down arrow and select “All time”.
- Place a check mark in all boxes (you may leave the Passwords box Unchecked, if you'd like) by clicking the box (if the box does not already have a check mark in it).
- Select “Delete data”.
- Once the process has finished, close and reopen Chrome.
iPhone & iPad
Google Chrome
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app .
- At the bottom, tap More .
- Tap History Clear browsing data.
- Make sure there’s a check mark next to "Cookies, Site Data," and "Cached Images and Files."
- Tap Clear browsing data.
Safari
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data.

When there's no history or website data to clear, the button to clear it turns gray.
- Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.
Android
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app .
- At the top right, tap More .
- Tap History Clear browsing data.
- At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
- Next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
- Tap Clear data.
