Staff members can fill out and submit this form to request a website to be blocked or un-blocked.

WPS Filter Request Form

The goal of the filter is to strike a balance of safety and access for the staff and students of Wichita Public Schools. Please fill out this form to submit a website to be blocked or un-blocked. *Requests are reviewed weekly then shared with the networking team.

The filter team uses the following criteria when making decisions on requests:

Core ideas and suggestions from Common Sense Media
The district's existing resources, tools, and goals
Federal, state, and local laws/guidelines

Processing of Requests

The processing of requests may take up to 2-3 weeks.
The processing of requests will be reviewed to see if the content is CIPA compliant.
Inappropriate ads, images, banners or chat will result in the blocking of a web page.
Incomplete requests will not be processed.
Some websites can't be unblocked due to geographical location.
Some sites may have to remain blocked if the filter detects other harmful content (ex: viruses, malware, spam). Many times these threats are undetected by users.
All results of requests are final.
