Requesting Guest WIFI *New Process* | WiFi
Overview
Principals, managers, STSs and administrative assistants can request guest WiFi through the ClassLink portal for guest speakers or other visitors. Request
should be made through the WiFi Access Request app at least 1 hour in advance to avoid a delay in connection. One Guest WiFi request can accommodate up to 10 guests. If more guests are expected, please submit another request.
*Up to 50 guest can log into a single request.* See bottom of page requesting guest WiFi for events with 50 or more users.
How to request Guest WIFI:
- Navigate to the ClassLink portal at https://portal.usd259.net.
- Click on WiFi Access Request.
- Click Submit a Request.
- If you receive an error requesting permission to use the following applications, select "Fix Connection" and Allow.
- Enter the organization's name or first and last name of the guest. *NO SPACES* (The username is pulled from these fields. If the organization name is long, consider abbreviating to prevent having a long username.)
- Enter the district sponsor's email address (district staff requesting WiFi access for a guest speaker or visitor)
- Set the access dates for usage. (Set the ending date a day longer than requested to ensure the guest will have connection on their last day.)
- Type in the notes sections additional information, if needed.
- Click Submit.
- An email notification will be sent to the requestor with the login credentials for the guest account. Allow 3-5 minutes for the email to generate.
**For large events with more than 50 users needing WiFi access, please submit a workorder and include the following:
