How to Setup the Microsoft Authenticator App | MFA
Microsoft Authenticator is an app for your phone, in which signs you into your accounts securely. This app is phone based, so if you purchase a new phone after this initial set up please contact the Help Desk for assistance.
Get the app:
Android: Apple | IOS:
Add work account in the Authenticator app.
- Open the Authenticator app on your phone and click the + in the top right corner.
- Select Work or School Account for the account type
- Select Scan QR Code
- On your phone, a screen will appear for you to scan a QR Code.
- Leave the screen displayed on your phone and follow the next steps below on your computer.
Linking Account by QR Code:
- From a browser, navigate to office.com and sign in with your district credentials.
- Click on your Profile in the top right corner.
- Click View Account.
- Select Security Info.
- Use the drop down and select Authenticator app.
Make sure you've downloaded the app to your phone AND added a work or school account to your phone prior to proceeding. See steps above.
- Follow the prompts until a QR code is displayed.
- Use your phone to scan the QR code.
- Next a code will be displayed to enter one your phone.
