Student Passwords | Beginning of Year 2025-2026

Overview

For student password resets, please contact an STS or other designated staff. If they are not available, please contact the Help Desk at

Returning students will not have their password reset. They will continue to use their password from May.
If a secondary studentcan't remember their password, an STS or other designated staff can reset it.
- If the STS and other designated staff are not available, students can call the Help Desk to have it reset.
Students going from 5th to 6th grade will have their password reset to the default St + 6 digit-birthday (mmddyy). Example, St031705.

New Elementary Student Password

New to district early start through 5th grade

Username: studentID@usd259.net
Password:4-digit birthdate (mmdd). Example, 0317.
- They will NOT be prompted to reset their password.

ALL 6th graders and New to district 6th grade through 12th grade

Username: studentID@usd259.net
Password:St + 6 digit birthday (mmddyy). Example, St031705
- Once the student has logged in, they will be prompted to reset their password.

Pre-K through 5th

Teachers will use the QuickCardoption for their students to sign into ClassLink.
- Generating QuickCards for Students (Elementary) : Wichita Public Schools
Students MUST first sign in to ClassLink using their email address and password for QuickCards to work.
- QuickCards are used to sign in to ClassLink Portal and will not sign students into their iPad or laptops.

Resetting Student Passwords

STSs have the ability to reset student passwords using the WPS Student Password Reset app located in ClassLink.
STSs can request to add additional users at the beginning of the school year to assist with password resets.
