Server & Node Room Summer Reminders

🖥️ Servers

If your school still houses a school server:

Leave it powered on over the summer.
✅ Ensure the Node Room AC is working properly.

If your site has multiple servers and you plan to shut some down:

📞 Please contact IST Customer Service at 973-4357.
We monitor all district servers and need to know if one is intentionally powered off.

🧊 Node Rooms

Every site has at least one Node Room—many have several.
These rooms contain critical equipment like:

Servers
Routers
Switches

This equipment supports:

💻 Network access
📧 Outlook email
🌐 Internet
☎️ Phone services

🔍 Summer Checklist

To protect this equipment:

✅ Verify AC is working properly in each Node Room
🧹 Ask custodial staff to check the Node Room daily
❄️ If AC is not working:
- 📋 Submit a work order in Tririga
- 📞 Contact IST Customer Service at 973-4357 immediately
