Student Device Model

Starting school year 25-26, student's 6th-12th grades will have assigned devices they will use every year during their enrollment at your building. Students moving to other buildings will need to return their device and be reissued a device at their new school. Students will be issued a designated device and power source.

Secondary schools have received their new devices based off enrollment count. Additional devices can be requested through submitting a workorder.

Secondary Student Loaners

Schools have been provided student loaners for damaged devices out for repair

Student loaners are:

Dell 3380
HP 440s
Chromebooks will be used for Hearing students at EIA only.

DO NOT USE: Fortis 14 or the Asus Expertbook

Steps for student loaner set up:

Update the Check in/out app with the appropriate loaner device
Students will login into the device using their USD259 email account and password.
Using a web browser, students will login to Office.com to use Office 365 applications and email.
After students are finished with the device, their account information will automatically be removed from the device after a certain timeframe. (Do not wipe the device)

Elementary Device storage

Schools can determine device (iPad) storage solutions that best fit the needs of the building.

If Choosing a Cart Storage Solution:

IST has a limited number of excess device carts that can be used for storage. Those carts can be requested via a Freshservice ticket.

IST will fill these requests on a first come first served basis, taking into consideration schools’ cart inventories that were submitted last spring and the availability of excess IST carts.
When IST inventory has been exhausted, schools may purchase device carts in Oracle.

Schools that have excess carts can submit a Freshservice ticket for pick up. IST recommends schools determine device storage needs before requesting excess pick ups.
